Matt Harding

From Mrs. Whiting's blog I've seen a clip about Matt Harding dancing around in many different places with others. They were all smiling. Even the people who seemed...poor. They all danced and laughed, breaking the habit of stressing and being depressed. this could be good for every one's health. When people laugh or smile, level of hormones that are good for human body like endorphins and neurotransmitters increase. Matt Harding gave happiness to many, many different people, just by dancing. This could be an example of how much influence a man could leave in the world. This could also show how much difference we can make our selves.

Compliment guys

In these days, things are economically bad. People are loosing job and it's hard to get one, too. From the worst economy in decades, people are being depressed. In this kind of time, the compliment guys could be helpful to every soul living around them, lifting their depression. They give complements to whoever pass by them.

Every journey starts with the first step. If more people start complimenting each other, new world might come where everyone is happy and where there is no violence.

Journey

" Every day is a journey... journey itself is home."- Matsuo Basho.
I chose this quote because I think this quote shows one's life. Every time, we are moving rapidly around. We always face challenges. We, even if we don't move, go through mental journeys as we get older. No one lives life without journey.

My Name

Dong Yeup, meaning shining light of the east, Has not once let me out of it's range, like a sniper. In Korea, it shot me with bullet of teasing, causing anger. In Malaysia, it shot me with misspelling/ bad pronunciation.

What is so funny about teasing other, just because their name sounds like something bad? I tried it. It wasn't fun. But for some reason, those misbehaved Korean kids called me Ddong Yeup. Since 'ddong' in Korea meant... 'droppings', I got really angry when they called me that.

When I came to Malaysia, I thought I was well out of that violent sniper's range. But my thought changed when I went in to the school. In the same school, and even in the same class room there were...... Koreans!!! I had to come up with something. Soon I have invented a greatest shield to all teasing in the world. Ignorance. Soon the Koreans were to bored from 'not being angry' me, and stopped shooting the bullets of teasing. And even when the did, the bullet was stopped by my ignorance.

The same moment I found those mean Koreans, I realised something else. The teacher was saying Dong @#%$. First, I thought, 'What does that mean?' Also, I realised she was looking strait at me when she said it. 'Is it... my name?' So I realised the sniper found another bullet. Too bad it wasn't good enough to penetrate my shield of ignorance.

One day, I wondered. What is this thing that shoot me every time I meet someone? I asked my mom about it. She told me that my name meant Light of the east. She also told me that a fortune teller told my grandfather to name me like this.

After knowing the great meaning of my name, I thought, wow what a great name. The meaning seemed to destroy the effect of the bullet. Then, I first thought, 'Hey, maybe my name wasn't so bad after all.'
